I finally had to force myself to upload this one just to make me stop tweaking it. If I didn't pull the plug I'd probably still be poking around on it this time next week ...
aintshakespeare - thanks! yeah, the belly is my favorite part too.
what i'm doing is drawing them in my sketchbook in pencil, then scanning them as is (no inking) and painting them in Photoshop. I'm still using low opacity setting on the brushes like I use for the watercolor effect but i'm putting on so many layers it ends up looking more oil paint-ish. A lot of those sections probably have a good 20 passes on them, alternating between dark and light tones.
The sketches look much better in Firefox and Safari. If you're in Internet Explorer and they look jagged and/or lines seem to disappear, just click on the sketch to enlarge it and it will show correctly.

That is very nice. The skin tones are working very well.
Are these digital paintings?
The textures are outstanding. I'm particularly impressed with her belly.
